Literary St. Louis

The Literary St. Louis Bus Shelter program, which is no longer in operation, had volunteers from the St. Louis chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts join AIT and the International Writers Center at Washington University create visual interpretations of text incerpts from published Literary St. Louis: A Guide. The full-color posters were installed in bus shelters and on transit vehicles throughout the Metro region.

MetroLines

MetroLines, sponsored by AIT, the Eugene B. Redmond Writers Club, and the International Writers Center of Washington University, began in 1995. Competition was open to writers who lived within a 100-mile radius of St. Louis. Winning verses were placed in MetroLink and Metro Bus advertising spaces as part of an ongoing effort to create a conversation between transit riders and the arts.
